Shizuo Yamamoto
  Director / Technical Services Marager
  Mr. Yamamoto has been with Mile Post Consultants since its establishment and is our events and video production director.
  As a professional photographer, Mr. Yamamoto is highly knowledgeable about all aspects of print media, including computer graphics, commercial design and layout. His photographs have appeared in a large number of consumer and professional publications, including work commissioned by the Canadian Embassy, JTB Photo Library, JDMI, Cosmopolitan and J. Company. His photographs have also been selected and used by national tourist offices for poster campaigns.
Emi Takeyama
  Director / Office Manager / Project Manager
  Ms. Takeyama is an expert in developing products that are suitable for the Japanese market. In early 1992 she led a product-search mission to eastern Canada to discover potential winter products appealing to Japanese tourists for Canada's "Winter Wonderland" campaign. She has also led a mission to the south island of New Zealand in search of product potential on behalf of Christchurch International Airport, Ltd. and was part of the PR team for the South African Tourism Board.
  Ms. Takeyama is involved in the complete spectrum of Mile Post's management and production services. She has a flair for organizing events, particularly agency seminar planning and operations for national tourist offices. She also oversees all administrative procedures.
Mariko Saito
  Information Manager
  Ms. Saito has comprehensive experience in the travel industry, managing reservations and working in operations and planning for the "Greening Tour" of the wholesaler Hankyu Express International. She has also gained a thorough working knowledge of the production of tour brochures, manuals and advertisements whilst employed with the advertising agency Yukon Ltd.
  At Mile Post Consultants, Ms. Saito is predominantly involved in information management and is responsible for producing regular trade newsletters and monthly press releases to generate destination interest and knowledge. She also handles all financial reporting for clients. Recent accomplishments include completing the Tourism New Zealand Travel Agent Manual (2004), the Macau Guidebook (2004~) and the Macau Walking Map (2005~).
Sumihisa Manabe
  Art Director / Graphic Designer
  Sumihisa Manabe serves as Mile Post Consultant’s art director. A graphic designer with an expertise and specialized knowledge of print media, Mr. Manabe can design artwork according to strict and precise specifications or readily employ his creative skills to design artwork based on particular concepts.
  Mr. Manabe has been involved in the production of printed materials for numerous travel wholesalers, retail travel agencies and national tourist agencies.
Naohiro Fukawa
  General Manager, Marketing Planning Div.
  Mr. Fukawa has been developing his tourism business career for over 13 years after graduating from St. Paul’s University in Tokyo, the leading school in tourism studies in Japan. He worked for both the Japan National Tourist Organization (JNTO) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Promotion Centre for Trade, Investment and Tourism (ASEAN-Japan Centre) in Tokyo. In 2004, he joined Mile Post Consultants, Inc. At Mile Post Consultants., Mr. Fukawa is currently the marketing director for the Macau Government Tourism Office in Japan. He is responsible for all aspects of Macau tourism promotion such as developing effective marketing strategies, research analysis, conducting promotional activities and management work.
  Mr. Fukawa is a unique human resource who has extensive knowledge about both Japanese inbound and outbound tourism. He is also an expert at developing effective NTO marketing strategies and promotional activities for the Japanese market. For these reasons, he is often invited as a lecturer for tourism at universities, government offices, international organizations and travel agencies.
Maho Saito
  Manager, Marketing Planning Div. & Media Relations Manager
  Ms. Saito has an extensive understanding of the airline and tourism industry. Ms. Saito’s professional background includes working for Northwest Airlines and the Malaysian Tourism Promotion Board as a media and travel trade officer. Her outstanding communications skills and familiarity with working for a foreign company and foreign national tourist office enable her to disseminate detailed and cross- cultural information with clarity and ease.
  Ms. Saito is currently the account manager for the South Australian Tourism Commission in Japan. Her responsibilities include writing marketing intelligence reports, constructing marketing plans, coordinating and escorting media trips, and compiling a monthly tourism update e-newsletter that is distributed to travel agents throughout Japan.
Fumi Matsumoto
  Media Relations Assistant Manager
  Ms. Matsumoto began her career in the tourism industry at a travel agency that specializes in Thailand. Over the course of five years with this agency, she worked in the FIT division, wholesale division, and was also responsible for handling advertisements in travel magazines. Ms. Matsumoto’s professional experience also includes working for Air New Zealand in the reservation department.
  Ms. Matsumoto’s responsibilities include managing media sales for all Mile Post's PR teams, actively searching for PR opportunities, managing and conducting press tours, recruiting appropriate media for individual clients, managing destination information and generating and providing story leads to Mile Post's media contacts.
Kazumi Hanari
  Information and Intelligence Coordinator, PR and Special Events
  Ms. Hanari is an expert in Japanese travel agency’s reservation and retail systems. For over 13 years, she worked at JTB and handled both domestic and international tours. Managing FIT business, travel products and sales promotions, she excels efficient collaboration with the travel trade.
  Ms. Hanari is responsible for collecting information and compiling intelligence in the market at Mile Post. She also has professional knowledge in personnel management and training. She efficiently manages and organizes promotion events with appropriate person assignment.
